SUPW (Socially Useful and Productive Work) is one of the major co-curricular activities in the school. The activity will be properly planned by the Coordinator to execute the work effectively.
- The SUPW Coordinator will allocate the morning cleaning area to all the classes next to their classroom blocks.
- All the classes will have to work in the morning for 15 minutes every day under the supervision of the class teachers.
- The Coordinator will pre-plan all Saturdays’ SUPW and inform about the work distribution and the tools to be brought in advance.
- The SUPW & School Agriculture Coordinators and House Masters/Mistress will ensure that all students have a sickle, hoe & spade and bring it when asked for SUPW periods on Saturdays.
- The morning SUPW attendance will be taken every day and record the conduct of all the students for SUPW rating at the end of the year.
- On Saturdays, SUPW attendance will be taken by the house masters/mistress or class teachers as per the work distribution for giving grades to students at the end.
- The house masters and mistresses and class teachers will be responsible for the accomplishment of the work allocated to the students on Saturdays.
- The saplings and plantations in the morning SUPW area will be taken care by the respective classes.
- The class is responsible for further beautification of the area with the consent of the Coordinator or the school authorities.
- The Coordinator will plan and arrange the sapling plantation on Social Forestry day. All students will plant a tree sapling class-wise and the same tree will be evaluated as part of SUPW at the end of the year.
- Co-coordinator has to develop a format for sapling evaluation and evaluate the saplings with a few selected teachers twice a year. The care and growth of the tree sapling will be one area for rating the SUPW.
- The SUPW evaluation rating at the end of the year will be based on the following: i) Club attendance and performance, ii) SUPW attendance and performance on Saturdays, iii) Morning cleaning attendance & performance and iv) Tree sapling plantation of individual student and the evaluation of the previous year’s plantation will also be accounted.
