Career Education and Counseling Policy

  • Career Education & Counseling Program will be incorporated in the school calendar.
  • The trained teachers will coordinate SBIP on the importance of Career Education & Counseling Program among teacher colleagues to create awareness of the importance of having such programs in the school.
  • The school counselors will prepare the yearly action plan and conduct the program accordingly.
  • The career education will be integrated into the curriculum as much as possible.  Each subject teacher will touch on the career prospect in his/her subject area.
  • The school will form a counseling group consisting of other teachers to help/support/assist students who are in need of the information.
  • The group will establish career information board & resource rooms and also conduct career fair, poster presentation, job shadowing orientation programs.  Also career related movies, documentaries, slideshow and other related programs to be carried out.
  • The Career & Counseling group will develop and maintain students’ portfolios.  The trained teachers will be assigned to different classes to maintain the portfolios.
  • The schools Counselors will conduct all the programmes as instructed by DYS and submit reports& accounts pertaining to it.
  • The Parents education awareness program will be conducted by the committee and the required report and accounts will also be submitted by them.
