Roles and Responsibilities of Scout Master

  1. By March register all the scouts and send the registration form to Dzongkhag. By April, all forms have to be filled and submitted to the Dzongkhag.
  2. Coordinate the scouting program in the school.
  3. Keep track of all the scouts and scout masters and ensure members to enroll them for continuity.
  4. Only the new recruits are entitled for badge and scarf. Advancement badges will be supplied from the Dzongkhag.
  5. Form the School Scouts / recruit new members with genuine interest.
  6. Responsible for regular saluting and flag hoisting & flag lowering.
  7. Proper action plan on awareness activities on life skills and its implementation.
  8. Inculcate positive attitude/values and be role models to other students.
  9. Active voluntary services to be carried out in school and outside.
  10. Keep record of outstanding members and submit name list to Dzongkhag at the end of every session. Nominate/recommend scouts for rally, jamboree and trainings.
  11. Maintain/develop the Scouts garden.
  12. Responsible/accountable for the fee collection and depositing where required.
  13. Maintain the accounts which are auditable.
  14. Mark ‘Scout’ in the school leaving certificate if a student is a scout
